What are our virtual “telenet” workshops?  These are workshops that are conducted over the phone as well as the internet.

In this day and age, sometimes it’s much easier to take a class from the comfort of your own home—especially for parents.  However, our workshops have never been the “lecture” style classes that translate so easily into computer-based-training.  We primarily use  interaction and experiential tools help you explore, create, and integrate new parenting ideas.  Hence, we needed a way for our remote classes to be just as exploratory and interactive as our in-person workshops.

A computer with internet and email is required, as is a phone.  Participants “attend” weekly sessions over the phone, and for those that have concurrent access to both their computer and phone, additional information can be accessed via the computer.  If you don’t have access to a computer while you are on the phone, that information will be sent to you before or after the session, as appropriate.  Additionally, the group continues learning between phone sessions using the computer to do exercises, discuss issues that arise during the week, and support each other in the process.

Each workshop is customized to the participant’s involved.  Below are the general descriptions of our workshops.  Please click on the title of each for further information as it becomes available.

Workshops are 6 weekly sessions.  We encourage participants to sign up for a block of 6 sessions; however, you may choose to attend week-by-week if needed.  Please see the following for details:

Would you like a better relationship with your children, but are concerned that letting go of punishment will result in disrespectful, out-of-control kids? Explore why you might choose non-punitive parenting in this respectful, open-minded workshop that helps you find a parenting style that is right for you.

This workshop is perfect for parents that want to take their parenting to the next level; exploring their values, philosophy, and the finer details of putting non-punitive strategies into practice.  Professionals that work with parents who  would like to explore our philosophy in more depth will also find this thought provoking and inspirational in their work.

Designed for the parents who have embraced the concepts of non-punitive parenting, but feel at a loss for methods to get there, or are frustrated by day-to-day challenges and are looking for concrete solution ideas.  Each series will be customized to the group and different each time.
